Handheld Comparision

I am writing this from an iPAQ 4150 Pocket PC by HP.
As a long-time Palm advocate, I recently picked this unit up to test some 3rd-party applications.
The unit is equipped with WiFi and Bluetooth, an SDIO slot, a 240x320 65k color screen, lithium battery. The OS is Pocket PC 2003. Included in the package was a full version of Outlook 2002, a canvas slipcover, a cradle, and a power supply with 2 tips so it could be plugged into the iPAQ or the cradle.

Initial Impression

This is a very well-built unit. While very light, is feels very solid with a matte-textured charcol back and a silver, almost car-like, front face. It is much more like some of the sleeker Palm-based handhelds (Vx, 500) than any other Pocket PC I have ever used. The unit sits very well in the hand, with all the buttons having a solid feel. The microphone for voice memos is on the top edge, while the speaker is behind the navigation buttons without any visible openings other than small gaps around each button. This doesn't seem to hurt the sound.
